One- Applications are invited for the post of District Judge (Entry Level) in Chhattisgarh Higher Judicial Service in the pay scale of Rs. 51550-1230-58930-1380-63070 in the cadre of Higher Judicial Service by direct recruitment from the Bar. Recruitment to these posts and conditions of service shall be governed by the Chhattisgarh Higher Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service), Rules 2006

Two-No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post of District Judge (Entry Level) in Higher Judicial Service by direct recruitment unless, he or she:-

(a) is a citizen of India; (b) has attained the age of 35 years and has not attained the age of 45 years on the first day of January 2011 provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed upto a maximum limit of 3 years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes who are the bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh State. (Attested copy of Certificate issued by the competent authority & valid in all respects must be enclosed with the application)

(c) has been for atleast seven years in continuous practice as an Advocate on the first day of January 2011.

The applicant shall furnish a certificate from the Registrar General of the High Court or Principal District & Sessions Judge concerned bearing legible seal and date,month & year of issuance, that he/she is an advocate having practiced for not less than seven years as such in the format given at Annexure along with the application

(d) has good character and is of sound mind and body and free from any bodily or mental disability which renders him/her unfit for such appointment.

Chhattisgarh High Court District Judge (Entry Level) through limited competitive Examination

HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH : BILASPUR 

As per the directions of Hon’ble the Supreme Court given in C.A. 1867/06 in the matter of Malik Mazhar Sultan and Another V/s U.P. Public Service Commission & Ors., 10% of the vacancies in the cadre of District Judge (Entry Level) has to be filled by promotion through "Limited Competitive Examination" from Civil Judges (Senior Division) having not less than five years of qualifying service as Senior Civil Judge.

Applications are invited in the prescribed format annexed herewith from the eligible Senior Civil Judges having not less than 5 years of qualifying service as Senior Civil Judge for filling up of 02 (Two) vacancies in the cadre of District Judge (Entry Level) through limited competitive examination.

The Senior Civil Judges having not less than 5 years of qualifying service as Senior Civil Judges shall only be eligible to appear in the above examination.

The application shall be sent through the concering District Judges and an advanced copy must be sent directly to the Registrar General so as to reach this Registry on or before 24/05/2011 . The applications received after 24/05/2011 shall not be entertained.
